We are very lucky to have the opportunity to be able to visit the lovely Cleethorpes Beach. As part of our topic work, we've been discovering British traditions and last week's focus was Ireland. We enjoyed creating some wonderful music, took part in a parade, ate cheese and corned beef on crackers and attempted Irish limericks (which the group found hilarious!).
After lunch it was time for us to go crabbing, which was enjoyed by all despite the mud. We managed to find two crabs having a hug and returned them safely to their home. We also learnt about different sea creatures and imagined a shipwreck with all sorts of ancient treasures aboard.
We can't wait for this week's visit, I wonder what we'll find...
