Our scarecrow is a Ukulele playing Bear, named Bearcrow!

There are some fantastic entries this year, we are so happy to be involved and grateful for Grimsby Garden Centre to be running such a friendly, supportive and positive project involving all local schools. What a fabulous effort for community spirit, reuniting the community since the pandemic, bringing together schools to have some fun, get creative and show of their fantastic scarecrows.
Our Bearcrow has been made by pupils and staff all working together to bring different ideas of their favourite things about school during last term. The pupils enjoyed Ukulele lessons, so of course Bearcrow has his own Ukulele to play.
Bearcrow loves nature and is surrounded by our handprint leaves, as we are based in the countryside and love exploring nature during our Forest School sessions.
Bearcrow has his Road Safety Story, as we've really enjoyed learning about Road Safety before the summer holidays.
Bearcrow’s funky strawberry shorts are a representation of our efforts in the garden this year with growing our own fruits and vegetables. We look forward to growing more next year as well.
We are so proud of our Bearcrow creation, and had so much fun working together to make him. We hope all the other schools had just as much fun as we did and can’t wait to see who the winner is! Good luck to all involved and thank you for including our small special school in this community.
